What's Happening Now?

July 2014

7-4-2014 - We will be closed in observance of our wonderful independence we have in this country.

7-26-14 - Has been rescheduled to September 21, 2014.  Please see the events page for details.

While Stonycreek Farms is and has been a tradition in the community we are striving to bring in some new opportunities for our loyal customers.  Starting with seminars and opening up our events, we are also expanding the gift shop to include year around items.  This will be crafts, jewelry and art from LOCAL crafters and we will have the gift shop slowly built up over the months of August and September.  Keep checking back for pictures of some of the new items and please come by and visit.  The new stuff will start arriving within the next few weeks.

3-5-14 - Here is a sneak peek of our construction at the Indiana Flower & Patio Show! Can you guess what that little log cabin will be used for? Our garden is progressing very well and we are so excited about this year. See the Flower & Patio Show page for more details.

July 2014

We know it is summer but October is coming fast!  That is why we are already planning the Festival.  Our goal is to streamline many things to cut the wait time, enhance your family experience and to broaden our horizons. If you have any ideas or things you feel would improve the experience this year please email me, aperez@stonycreekfarm.net

I mentioned updating our Gift Shop.  I am looking for some local crafters and artists that want to show there work here and consign it.  I myself am amassing a collection of jewelry and crafts to bring in and need some quality crafters to help fill out the gift shop.  If you are interested please contact me at the email above.

Looking at our schedule we are filling up fast for events in our facilities.  If you are considering Stonycreek for your event call us or email us as soon as you can to get what you want.

August 2014

As the summer winds down and the temps cool a bit, it is close to the time to prepare for winter.  Are your plants healthy?  Do you need anything in your yard to help with managing snowdrifts?  And it is really time to save money.  Check furnace filters, car maintenance, and even the kids school clothes and be ahead of the pack.

Tip of the month:  Newspaper plastic bags, long and skinny, plastic, and what to do with them?  Use them for doggy walks!  Your hand slides into the bag, pick it up and roll it on out and tie it.

September 2014

Watch for website renewals.  It is our hope to have a monthly update to include our job of the month, employee feature one a month, at least one money saving tip, feature a plant every month and the info to have such a plant.  If you have anything you would like to see in the newsletter contact me.

October 2014

And the party is on!! The Festival opens the last week of September and we are getting excited.  While we will have many of the traditional events we are looking to add more to the festival.  I do know we will have over the shoulder  water bottle  holders for sale for your convenience, and we are trying to bring in some new vendors.  Let's have a good time.

November 2014 -  Time to clean up and rest for a minute.  Our customers, you, know how to have a festival!  Now we are open all day and are preparing for the best Christmas ever.  I will keep you updated.  Until then, live life with gratitude, joy and abundance.

Dear Friends,

In 1967 our organization began in a small pumpkin patch on Sergeant Road in Indianapolis. Many families and school children soon learned about "the patch" and in three years, we outgrew that location.

The search for a special place where families could have a real farm experience led to Noblesville. An 1860s era farm situated on 50 acres of rolling farmland and woods became the new home of the "Pumpkin Harvest Festival." The farm was named after Stony Creek, which meanders through the property. This creek was a Native American trade route and the site of an old gristmill.

Many changes have occurred at Stonycreek Farm, but we still take great joy in seeing children pick their first pumpkin, go creek stomping with the YMCA, or listening to a church group singing on an autumn hayride.

We now have third generation families picking their own pumpkins and starting a new tradition of cutting their own Christmas trees. We hope you and your family will join us and make the farm one of your family traditions.

We look forward to seeing you this year as we celebrate our 42nd Anniversary!
